Fill this form out only if we will be hosting a domain name for you. Include one form for each domain that we will be hosting.
We need the following information from you:
If we will be registering the domain name for you, it's important that you understand a few things. First, it's a good idea to check beforehand to make sure that the domain name you want is, in fact, available. If you're not sure how to do that, include several choices in the blank below, ranked in order of favourite to least favourite. If none are available, we'll get in touch with you and try to come up with something that is amenable to you.
Secondly, your "free registration" only includes our services in actually registering the domain. Most domain registry authorities charge a fee for domain name registration, and you are responsible for paying this fee to us. No registrations will be processed without this fee. Currently, the InterNIC charges $110 (Canadian) for registering domain names in the .COM, .NET, and .ORG TLD's - this is for two years, with additional years priced at $55. Alternately, you can get your domain from NIC.NU which will give you a domain name in the .NU TLD for just $40/year (Canadian). We will attempt, if you desire, to register your name with any other naming authority that you request. Bear in mind that some of them have additional information requirements and it's up to you to ascertain what they are beforehand, and ensure that you include that extra information with this form. Some TLD's, such as .CA, have specific residency requirements. This server is located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and can only host domains that are within TLD's that allow Canadian hosts to participate.
If you prefer, you can take care of the domain registration yourself. If you do, you'll need some information about our network. Most naming authorities only require the hostnames and IP addresses of two responsible name-servers, and ours are:
Primary: valen.garynuman.info 207.228.74.65
Secondary: sinclair.garynuman.info 207.228.74.66
Do not let your domain name registration expire. We will notify you of a pending expiration as soon as we receive notification from the relevent naming authority, but we will not be responsible if your domain name is revoked due to non-payment. You can send renewal fees to us or directly to the naming authority.
If we are transfering a domain name from another ISP, we will need you to include some information about how to contact your current ISP in order to get the domain name transfered. WE CANNOT HOST YOUR DOMAIN NAME UNTIL AND UNLESS YOUR CURRENT ISP RELEASES CONTROL OF YOUR DOMAIN. Please be sure to include anything you can think of, including an email address for the technical contact person, their web address, phone numbers, etc.
Finally, you need to sign an authorization form that specifically authorizes us to: (a) ask your ISP to relinquish your domain, and/or (b) register a new domain on your behalf, and/or (c) host your domain.
